Jennifer graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelors degree in Modern European History, but her second love has always been mathematics which she studies to the upper division level. She has tutored students in a variety of subjects using the AVID system for many years, although for the past few years she has specialized in tutoring Math at the Middle School and High School levels. She enjoys the challenge presented by figuring out the best way for each individual student to learn, and does her best to help them be inquisitive about all subjects so they can learn why things work as opposed to strict memorization. Jennifer spends her free time playing violin and participating in a number of historical reenactments events to help teach people of all ages learn about history. She also enjoys sewing (which is a regular challenge to her geometry skills and patience), and a variety of dancing styles including ballroom and hula.
