Kory earned a Bachelor of Science (with honors) from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon where he double majored in Bioinformatics and Mathematics and minored in Computer Science. During his time at Pacific, he tutored students from local high schools in mathematics and participated in multiple research projects; presenting his work at national conferences. Kory has a passion for Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer Science and loves helping students develop the foundational skills required to excel in STEM. He is patient and understanding and looks to connect with students and learn which study methods work best fit them. Kory grew up in Pleasanton playing baseball which he continued at the high school and collegiate level. Now, he is an avid sports fan who loves the A's and Warriors. He also enjoys traveling with his girlfriend, being in nature, playing video games, bowling, and spending time with family.

Henry holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from UCLA. He once worked as a peer tutor at Oakland Technical High School, mentoring students in all 4 core subjects of English, math (Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, etc.), science, and history while tackling on a wide range of honors and AP level courses at the same time. He is well versed in the concepts frequently encountered in biology and chemistry. He also has some of the interpretative and problem solving capability to help students tackle on Newtonian physics. Henry has had the opportunity to take the following AP courses and achieved at least a passing score on their respective exams: Biology, U.S. History, Calculus AB and BC, U.S. Government and Politics, English Literature and Composition, Physics C: Mechanics, Chemistry, and Statistics. Henry is enthusiastic about bringing his expertise to the table and is looking forward to tutoring young students once again in the previously mentioned core subjects as well as Spanish this time around. He makes for intuitive ways to grasp, understand, and retain knowledge of course concepts and will ensure that the student will be able to apply said concepts with confidence. During his free time, Henry partakes in photography, taking portrait, candid, and cityscape photos during occasional outings inside and outside of the Bay Area. He also partakes in various forms of tabletop games as a fun and immersive way to apply problem solving skills and to keep his mind at work.

Kristen has a Masters degree in inorganic chemistry from San Francisco State University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry and a minor in mathematics. Her previous work at UCSF and the Veterans Medical Center SF focused on using new technologies to sequence gene mutations in HIV and cancer cells. She also volunteers her time with Breast Cancer Action, a non-profit organization that aims to reduce Breast Cancer through environmental activism. In her spare time she knits, reads fantasy novels and spends time on her sailboat with her dog.

Pushpinder (Push) has Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and is an international medical graduate holding an MD degree. While completing his undergraduate program in the Bay Area, Push tutored his peers in the area of Math & Science subjects and has excelled in the previous professional teaching positions that he has held in the past. Push has over 8+ years of experience teaching K-12 and college level students in biology, chemistry, physics, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, medical science, and math subjects all the way to precalculus. Outside of common core teaching, Push works in the clinical research side of medicine that helps with developing new drugs for cancer patients and enjoys being able to work alongside his scientist and physician peers while assisting students within the academic space. During free time, Push loves spending time with family, traveling with his parents, wife, and daughter, hiking, and being in nature.

Jessica earned a bachelor’s of arts in International Relations with a minor in Political Science from the University of California, Davis. At Davis, Jessica also took writing classes on all genres from the University Writing Program and wrote for the Davis Political Review. Jessica hopes to use her knowledge of History, Politics, as well as Language Arts to go on to teach these subjects to her students. She loves to tutor English and writing, all levels of history, Spanish, mathematics, chemistry, statistics and US government. When not reading the paper or writing, Jessica enjoys pouring over the latest edition of the New Yorker with a strong cup of coffee and listening to hip-hop, sometimes at the same time.
